Ancient flavors since 1911

“Latini” is a way of getting to know Tuscany and its people, a cuisine in which raw materials are transformed and become traditional dishes.

Around Latini’s tables, friendships are woven, world languages are spoken, lively discussions take place, and old-fashioned, simple and tasty food is enjoyed.

“Latini” is history: it is a way of getting to know Tuscany and its people through its cuisine.

Founded as a fiaschetteria in 1911 with Angelo Latini and later developed as a restaurant by Narciso and his wife Maria, it has always been careful to convey typical Tuscan flavors-not for nothing did the original nucleus originate with Maria carrying her food from home to the set tables arranged in the cellars of Palazzo Rucellai.

Maria’s cooking was made of the aromas of typical Tuscan foods, simple and genuine, just like today.

The flooding of Florence did not spare the fiaschetteria, which nevertheless continued to serve hot dishes to Florentines among the still mud-filled streets, not denying anyone the comfort of a hot dish and a glass of wine in those difficult days.

Many years have passed and now Il Latini is now in its fourth generation and awaits you among its tables with the typical Tuscan welcome, quality raw materials and tasty dishes.
